Our Origins

The first stone of Maso Ministry was laid in 2016 by Pr Julius. It started virtually as WhatsApp group of teachers of French in Uganda. Pastor Julius developed the urge of spreading the word of God, two years’ post accepting Christ Jesus as His Lord and Savior. 

 Unfortunately, he had no platform to implement it, that is why he decided to take advantage of the then WhatsApp group of Teachers of French where he was member and commenced posting French literature with bit of word of God progressively with message of love and hope to group members, until the then group Administrator started complaining. 

 Despite the pressure to stop, Pastor Julius continued posting devotional related French literature until he was deleted from the group by the same group Administrator.

The deletion from the group did not deter him from the service of God to save souls, and apparently, there were those in the same group who were happy with daily devotional scripture (blended with French literature) he was sharing on the platform. Guessing of this fact, Pr Julius replicated the same WhatsApp group and gave it another name but with all members on board apart from the former group administrator but who later on also requested Pastor Julius to be added to new group.

The new group created became new virtual church whose job was to spread the word of God to all members without impediments from then until now as the story unfolds, 2022. The urge to spread word of God came with desire to help the poor, needy such giving scholastic material to orphaned children, giving food to most vulnerable members of targeted community, giving money to needy, especially street beggars and other household items such as clothes etc. It should be noted that the word of God was mainly written in French for close to ten years until another member of the group fervently started sharing in English using both written and audio sermons.

Currently, the group enjoy almost daily spiritual devotion and members have all the reasons to celebrate though the component of learning French is latently dying out. Pr Julius believes that the present physical Ministry and its components such as helping the poor, needy, orphans and widows which started on 17th April 2022 is a product of the WhatsApp group of French teachers in Uganda because ideas, confidence and motivation stem from that group and even its launch was graced by some members of the same group.
